Yes! Go against the govt July 20, 2006

Internet users woke up to an unusual Monday: Their favourite blogs were not available.
What happened to the blogs? Slowly came the realisation that government had banned them. Banned ever-ything! Or ha-d they really?

By Tuesday, it became clear that the government had in fact asked for all of Blogspot to be blocked. As things turned out, it was an obscure blog on the Blogspot network that government was targeting as part of its regular drive at censoring unpleasant voices.

Internet Service Providers who received the directive, though, simply banned the entire network. Fortunately, technology can circumvent censorship. The methods fall into two categories.

One, if your ISP blocked the wrong site and you want is to step around the block, the simplest way is with Torpark, a project that combines the Firefox browser and the Tor anonymous proxy service into a single point-and-click install for Windows users. Get it at ttp://torpark.nfshost.com.

Torpark behaves exactly like the Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers you are familiar with, but is unaffected by censorship.

Lathi chrage when medicos strike on the roads.Blocking of blogs when you really go “offensive”.Breaking everyhthing that comes between you and the income tax office just because AB senior is being taxed?.

Common staements you read in the newspapers many of us maybe just in habit of all this…it seems like Indians are lost lambs…they prefer not getting into politics they like there life to be more comfortable..more “normal”.This is when the govt. is making sure that people love to against the government it is simply when they’re being denied there fundamental rights.

Now,indians live a life for themselves they simply dont care what happens in the Lok Sabha. The govt. prefers it this way,but violating your rights make sure that people participate in politics.People go against there own leaders. These are the same people who choose there leaders.

To be continued……..always until this country becomes another country under Dictaorship.

Blogger is of course known as the best blogging service by many people(at least the people i know prefer blogger over many other blogging services). The best part of blogger is it’s simplicity and the easy-to-use environment. It’s template though is a problem for new users but the help and FAQ provided to it’s user is helpful.
Blogger’s plus point is that is provides it’s user’s with a Nav Bar which include things like Blog Search,’Search This Blog’,'Blog This’ And Of Course the “Next Blog” button.(which promises all it’s users with traffic from all over the world.)
Lately I came to know about another blogging service-WordPress.When you visit this website you just feel like closing it,nothing neat,no tours,no help,no FAQ,no audio blogging and no blue template with a good feel. But it’s really an experience worth writing for. When you sign into it’s dashboard it takes time to get adjusted as it has no “This Looks Lovely” look.
Comparatively you would firstly prefer to use Blogger but this has more to it.The best thing is that it has got has many cool templates. The header image can be uploaded from you computer if you want. It’s sidebar can be either alligned to left or right it has got links, search, calendar, archives and the best part:New Pages. It’s a blogging service with a look and feel of a website. You can even upload files into your blog.I still have to learn many things but surely it has been an experience worth remembering in my “Netty Achivements.”

Review:Angels And Demons July 2, 2006

Unlike Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code,Angels And Demons is not that exciting, not atleast in the first 62 pages;.But it’s good enough for people like me;this book is fiction but it’s tough to distinguish between facts and fiction in this book.It isnt offensive to any of the religions or cults. It’s more informative. And for a guy like me who’s IQ is below zero;it’s amazing to know that the Internet was found in a famous Particle Physics Lab called CERN.

The Story:Robert Langdon is all happy in his american house, when he gets anoymous calls from a guy..who needs help.Langdon just ignores it..until he gets a fax.And the first words are “Illumanti”.And just an hour later he’s in a whirl of events..he travels in plane kind of a thing which takes him from boston to geneva in 45 mins.He goes all through the place and finds out what he was called for..a murder.

Leonardo Vettra was a “Man Of God” and one of the best scientists in CERN.And he’s murdered with some kind of symbol on his chest. It’s of an ancient brotherhood called “Illumanti”,and there langdon is…giving out facts and history about the big old fight between the Church and Science.Langdon then goes to the Vatican with Vettra’s Daughter to the vatican…and here i think starts the whole thing.

It’s much more factual than it’s sequel…much more simpler and much more intresting.Of course it’s dan brown so it’s justice done to all the character’s there.I still have to finsh some 200 pages which will be done in 3 days and the review will be over by Tuesday.
