Thank you so much for writing this post. Its very informative and of course Allah is going to reward you for taking time to having it written.

Firstly, as long as you have references to the Holy Quran and hadees whenever you say something, it can never be questioned. Secondly, we should all know what Sunnath means. Many people make a mistake here and end up with several useless arguements. When soemthing is faraz and has been specified in the Holy Quran, then there is no doubt that in any condition it has to be accepted and followed. If it is not followed but still sccepted, then there is punishment for it and Allah knows what He will do. But if somehting from the Holy Quran is rejected, its the worst thing and its of course Allah again Who will decide.

Regarding the sunnat. I can say something like 'it is equally important'. But I will be wrong. For example the procedure of Wazu - I have read in the Holy Quran a verse that describes how wazu should be performed. It has no mention that things are to be repeated thrice. It is the sunnath that asks for 3 times. So a prever performed even after doing the things only one is also valid. There are several things of such kind which are secondary and not compulsory. If we do them or follow them, hten its good fr us. If we don't then we are deprived of Allah's blessings.

We all should always try to know what is right and what is wrong. Whenever thers a doubt, we have a wonderful thing called as the internet. We all have The Holy Quran at home which can be referenced. But debating on anything that is sunnath is silly. If its a hadith, then it is a hadith. We can never deny it. If somebody doesnt want to follow it, he/she is not commiting a sin as long as he/she agrees with it. Just that that person will be deprived of some extra blessings from Allah.

Anyways thanx again for writing what all you felt and lernt. I am glad to have u as my cousin. Keep writing suh things and keep learning. As along as you are right or at least try to find out you are right, you are being blessed. JaazakAllah.
